48 million Americans suffer from some level of hearing loss. There is a huge entertainment audience with hearing loss, and we are not just talking about the senior population. Turning up the volume really didn’t help me catch dialogue better. Watching a movie with my husband is a favorite pastime. I am among the 25 percent of Americans suffering from tinnitus, or ringing in the ears. For me, the inability to hear TV dialogue hits close to home.
